🧵 You'll stay on-site at our gorgeous and spacious Magnolia Manor. This is a private retreat with no other groups in attendance. Refresh Retreat has everything you could need for a girl's sewing weekend!

🧵 The southern hospitality here is on point! Your meals are covered for the duration of the retreat and prepared for our group via our private chefs. There will also be plenty of snacking (that means chocolate!)

🧵 Each quilter will have the freedom to spend the weekend in a way that feels most productive to you. Sewing WIPs? Start a new project? Hand sewing? Learn a new skill? Taking a nap? - endless possibilities!

WHO IS THIS RETREAT FOR?

Whether you're a newbie or a seasoned quilter, this get-away retreat is for you! Everyone is welcome here. All the little details of the retreat will be taken care of for you... down to the detailed packing list that will be included in your retreat packet!

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE REGISTRATION?

Everything — You simply arrive via your own transportation, and we take care of the rest! Your room, food and drinks and all content, events and experiences... are included. Quite simply, the only thing not included is your airfare, transportation to/from our retreat location, materials for sewing and if you’d like to plan for some additional shopping or sight seeing.

YES, THERE ARE REAL LIVE TEXAS LONGHORNS ON THE PROPERTY!

They are contained in a fenced area that is easily walkable and can be seen from our retreat center. They all have names and are a beautiful breathtaking sight! (No, I do not recommend this as a good opportunity to try to fulfill your wild Texas Bull riding dreams)

HOW BIG IS THE GROUP?

Refresh Retreat allows a max of 20 women to allow for the perfect mix of skill levels, personalities and connections to be made. 🥳 This is so you can get 1:1 time with Christen and create close bonds with the other quilters. You will never feel lost or out of place like you would at a much larger event.

WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE THIS TIME OF YEAR?

Weather in Texas can be unpredictable, but it’s usually pleasant during the month of September. Come in whatever you are comfortable wearing and bring a sweater just in case!

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO WORK ON?

You are welcome to bring any project you'd like to sew on! This is a completely open creative space. We will all be working on our own projects and WIPs!

WHO WILL I ROOM WITH?

To keep the costs of this premium event accessible, we have chosen to share bedrooms (aka a roommate). We understand it may be challenging to step outside your comfort zone and share sleeping quarters with someone you've just met. Think of it as a very posh summer camp for savvy, creative quilters. If you are traveling to the retreat with a friend and would like to share a room, please let us know during your registration.

All bedrooms are shared rooms with 4 twin beds and 1 full bathroom each.

Coming alone? Don’t fret, about 95% of attendees who come, don’t know anyone either! This is an opportunity to come together with some of your soon to be best quilting friends! We’ll match roommates for you and let you know in advance so you can introduce yourselves.

CAN I CHECK IN EARLY?

Yes, early check in begins Wednesday evening at 5PM. There is a discounted upgrade fee of $55 for the early check-in. You can book this at checkout or contact Christen to reserve your spot.

The official retreat and regular check-in will begin Thursday September 26 @ noon.

CAN I EXTEND MY STAY?

No. Unfortunately, our retreat will end at 2pm on Sunday September 28th.

WHAT SEWING SUPPLIES DO I NEED TO PACK?

You will receive a comprehensive retreat packet with EVERYTHING you need to know (including a detailed packing list) Mid August. You will have: Unlimited access to a spacious and well-lit sewing space, Tables for cutting, Ironing boards and irons, Sewing tables and electrical outlets, a kitchen are with refrigerator and microwave, drinks, super comfy & cozy bed, linens and towels.

Please Bring:

- Sewing machine & cords, foot pedal

- Extra needles & bobbins

- Small TV tray size side table (optional)

- Any special tools or sewing feet

- Supplies & fabric to work on the projects that you brought to work on

DO PEOPLE REALLY TRAVEL WITH THEIR SEWING MACHINE?

CAN I BRING MY SPOUSE, CHILDREN, OR FAMILY?

We believe that you are deserving of spending 4 days focused completely on you and your love of quilting! Because of this (and insurance policy reasons), only participating attendees are allowed on retreat property during our event.

WHAT IF I HAVE PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS?

We want you to feel at home and at ease throughout your stay. This retreat facility is not fully ADA compliant, but is accessible to most. All bedrooms are located upstairs, each with it's own full bathroom. There are (2) half bathrooms located downstairs. An elevator is available to assist guests and luggage upstairs.

WILL THERE BE OTHER SPECIAL GUESTS?

Yes! Lucky you! Christen will be bringing her most trusted and favorite wing woman! Attendees will have the pleasure of meeting Ms. Carol. She is Christen's #1 supporter, assistant and also... her momma 🤩 You will love her!

WILL WE GET TO KNOW THE OTHER ATTENDEES PRIOR TO THE EVENT?

Yes! There is an exclusive online community group where you can introduce yourself and make any shared travel arrangements prior to the retreat. It'll be a great way to share excitement and ideas as the retreat grows closer!

WILL I GET TO SEW WITH CHRISTEN?

YES! There are so many quilting events out there promising expert guidance and input, but then the sheer number of attendees or limited class hours make you feel like you're kept at arm’s length without personal connections. That’s just not how Refresh Retreat works! This is one of the only places you can get 1:1 connections with Christen to answer questions and offer advice. PLUS - we will have many exclusive opportunities to bond and have girl chat time!

WHY IS IT JUST FOR WOMEN?

In short... the shared bedrooms of the retreat facility do not allow for men and women to co-share the space. If you are interested in coming to a retreat hosted by ISeeStarsQuilting, please email christen@iseestarsquilting and let her know! She is happy to accommodate and make plans for the next retreat facility to be all inclusive.

WHAT KIND OF FOOD & SNACKS ARE PROVIDED?

We will have meals prepared by our on-site chefs. If you have your own favorite snacks, please feel free to bring whatever you need to make your stay more comfortable! It is also (an optional) tradition to bring snacks to share with everyone! Sewing uses a lot of energy and chocolate is absolutely a must! 🤣

WILL THE CHEF ACCOMMODATE MY DIETARY NEEDS?

The chef can accommodate the most common food allergies. If you have specific concerns, please contact Christen.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?

Due to the nature of this intimate event, details are planned and personalized far in advance for each of and every guest. All deposits and payments are 100% non-refundable.
