Your quilt is safe with me

My studio, with the longarm right behind me.

A smoke-free home studio

Your quilt stays in my clean, smoke-free studio, supervised by my two little doggies, who take their jobs as studio staff very seriously.

Tracked and insured home

Every quilt ships back with UPS or USPS tracking and $100 of insurance included, with more coverage available.

Only my hands on it

No assembly line. I quilt every quilt myself on an APQS longarm with a stitch regulator, for even stitches edge to edge.

My quilt came back sooner than I expected, and I immediately spread it out so I could admire every inch. Beautiful stitching, lovely texture, and so much care. Now I'm looking through my unfinished tops to decide which one to send next!
Nancy K. · Fort Collins, Colorado
I loved my quilt top before, but the quilting brought it to life. Christen helped me choose a design that complemented the piecing, and the quality was wonderful. I kept running my hand over it while I was putting on the binding!

A note from Christen

Your quilt doesn't have to be perfect to absolutely SHINE!

I've never met a perfect quilt, and I don't need yours to be one. Longarm quilting adds texture that softens a lot, and if I spot anything that needs your input, we'll talk about it before I start. I treat every quilt that comes through my door as if it were my very own.

Questions

Good to know

How long does it take?

Standard turnaround is 3 weeks from the day your quilt arrives. Fast Track is 10 days from arrival; please email me before you mail a Fast Track quilt so I can make room. Shipping days aren't included.

What size quilts can you take?

Everything from baby quilts up to king size. I quilt on a 12-foot frame.

How big should my backing be?

At least 10" wider and 10" longer than your quilt top. Cotton and flannel are most popular. Minky is welcome but must arrive already pieced, and I don't bind minky-backed quilts.

What batting do you use?

Hobbs 80/20 is included, and it's my favorite. You're welcome to send your own as long as it's brand new and unopened.

Can you bind my quilt?

Yes. I can attach your binding to the front for you to hand-finish, or machine-bind it completely. Send 3" strips, joined and pressed in half. You'll see the price on your details form.

Do you quilt T-shirt quilts?

Yes, as long as the shirts are stabilized and haven't been stretched.

Do you do custom quilting?

Not right now. I focus on edge-to-edge designs so I can keep turnaround quick.

Can I send more than one quilt?

Yes! One $55 reservation covers your whole order. Fill out a quick details form for each quilt, and they can all come home in one box.
